About

Hey there—I’m Francesca Black, witchy author and writer. I’ve been practicing witchcraft for over 20 years, and now I help new witches find their footing and grow their craft.

I wrote Year of the Witch because getting started in witchcraft can feel overwhelming. It’s an undated weekly planner built around monthly themes, so you can jump in anytime. Inside, you’ll find prompts, spells, and practical tips designed to guide you through your first year of witchcraft in a way that actually sticks. With easy-to-follow lessons and beginner-friendly spells, it’s approachable for any age and any schedule.

(Side note: I originally created it for my two daughters, who thought most witchcraft books were either too dense or rushed. So I broke things into bite-sized lessons to make magic easier to learn, practice, and actually enjoy.)

Think of it as a mash-up of a grimoire, a bullet journal, and a witchy starter pack—something you’ll use all year to track your growth, play with energy, and watch your magic evolve.

I share beginner-friendly content here on Gemini Witch, and if you want to go deeper into the craft, you can find me writing on Substack at Bitch Rising.
